How We Started: A Brief Profile of Penmark Academy for Lifelong Learning

Profile

Penmark Academy for Lifelong Learning was established in 2021 and registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission in the same year as a business name with registration number BN- 3280335.  It provides educational, vocational and business training as well as consultancy and book publishing services. It was also registered by Kano State Agency for Mass Education in 2022 as a voluntary adult education centre with certificate number AME/NGO/NO/NEW/0029/2022.

The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, located in Hamburg, Germany, holds a global mandate for promoting lifelong learning with a focus on adult learning, continuing education, literacy and non-formal basic education. Penmark Academy seeks to promote lifelong learning by supplementing what people learn in schools, polytechnics, colleges and universities. Students with deficiencies in their basic or secondary school education need lifelong learning to solidify the foundation for further studies. Slow learners in tertiary institutions of learning require it to boost their learning capacities while workers seeking to avoid embarrassments from incompetence cannot do without it. As the world is changing very fast, and skills acquired during long periods of studies are becoming irrelevant after graduation, lifelong learning is a must for managers, administrators, teachers, lecturers and professionals needing to update their knowledge and skills or acquire skills related to ICT, Artificial Intelligence, etc., to improve their service delivery.

Penmak Academy, from time to time, provides educational, vocational and business consultancy services in collaboration with other specialists in areas of English language, academic and project writing, research methods, online business, entrepreneurship,  business administration, etc.

Our door is open to other kinds of training based on requests, negotiations and agreements.

"Today, Sunday, 12th October 2025, I had the privilege of attending a one-day AI Literacy Masterclass on “Strategies for Creating Original Work with AI,” organized by Penmark Academy for Lifelong Learning.

The session was truly enlightening — it provided practical insights on how Artificial Intelligence can be used not just as a tool, but as a creative partner to inspire originality, innovation, and productivity.

I’m grateful to the organizers and facilitators for creating such an impactful learning experience that reinforces the value of continuous learning in today’s digital age." (source: https://web.facebook.com/share/p/14R8MQ9DDjj/)
