Welcome to the hub for learning through posts, books, courses, and videos.
My name is Sa’idu Sulaiman. I’m a retired Economics lecturer and now the founder and Director of Penmark Academy for Lifelong Learning. I’m passionate about seeing people developing themselves and their professions through continuous or lifelong acquisition of knowledge and skills relevant to current needs and challenges. This is because learning does not stop after graduation from a school, college or university.
If you’re interested in getting tips about sustainable living especially during hard times, or about responsible parenting especially in the digital age, and learning how to develop your emotional intelligence for relating well with people at home and places of work or business, our blog posts are for you.
If you’re interested in contents that make you a well-rounded and accomplished personality who can adequately perceive and address issues and contemporary challenges, we are here to quench your thirst for diverse educational contents with our cheap books, courses and videos.
I discovered that the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, located in Hamburg, Germany, holds a global mandate for promoting lifelong learning with a focus on adult learning, continuing education, literacy and non-formal basic education. With this discovery, I established Penmark Academy to promote lifelong learning by supplementing what people learn in schools, polytechnics, colleges and universities. Students with deficiencies in their basic or secondary school education need lifelong learning to solidify the foundation for further studies. Slow learners in tertiary institutions of learning require it to boost their learning capacities, while workers seeking to avoid embarrassments from incompetence cannot do without it. As the world is changing very fast, and skills acquired during long periods of studies are becoming irrelevant after graduation, lifelong learning is a must for managers, administrators, teachers, lecturers and professionals needing to update their knowledge and skills or acquire skills related to ICT, Artificial Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, etc., to improve their service delivery.
Our Mission
Our main mission is through a rich collection of posts, books, courses, and educational videos, fostering a passion for continuous education, making knowledge easily available and impactful for learners at all levels. We also seek to promote lifelong learning through the traditional face-to-face trainings, consultancy and publishing services, and working with resource persons and organizations interested in collaborating with us.
